The Express Employment Professionals Job Blog, Movin’ On Up, is a moderated site, which means that we approve all comments before they are posted. We want to make sure the conversation here is – like our name says – professional. So, please keep comments on topic and of interest to our readership.

Though we have a moderated site, it’s our goal to present a comprehensive and objective range of issues and opinions – including your comments. It’s okay to disagree with what we post, but in doing so, please be aware of the guidelines we will use when choosing whether or not to post all comments:

Express Employment Professionals reserves the right to not post any comments or questions that are deemed to be obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of someone else’s privacy, or objectionable in any way. Profanity, racial and ethnic slurs, and general rude behavior like disparaging personal remarks won’t be tolerated nor published.

Comments must be related to the subject matter of the post. We will not post your personal or business phone number, address, résumé, or job application, among other private details, in the comments section of this blog. I think there is yet another 'soft skill' to add to your list of 10.'Sense of Humor'...sometimes people and the job get a bit uptight and there needs to be someone who can 'lighten up' the situation or circumstances with a bit of humor.

I have been associated with Express Personnel for 6 years as an employee and I have used their services as an employer. Currently I am associated with the south Arlington, TX office. What a GREAT team! The talent that Express has for matching employers with employees is remarkable to me. I have been either hired or offered a position with EVERY company that I've been sent to. So according to the rules about leaving comments, no comments that would be considered derogatory, no matter how truthful, will be allowed. So much for democracy.

If you applied at a location, have repeatedly requested not only a follow up by them, but even just an acknowledgment in some form or another, contacting that office directly becomes a futile effort.

I met with Jamie Lynn in the Roanoke office this week, and although there is nothing available at the moment, I feel very confident in her abilities to find something for me. She seems very upbeat and I left there feeling like Express is a company that I could dedicate myself to and they to me. Thanks so much Jamie.
