I have a telephone screen coming up and I want to know, how do I handle a telephone screen? I am a bit nervous about this and I want to do well, any advice?

A telephone interview will typically follow a basic interview pattern. Questions such as "tell me a little about yourself" and "what is your related experience?" are common.
The main purpose of a telephone interview is to determine which candidates an employer wants to invite for an in person interview.
A few tips for your interview are:
Stand up while talking on the phone - it will make your voice sound clearer and more confident.
Smile as you talk - the mood will come across over the phone.
Have your resume handy for questions on your education, experience and skills.
Never eat or drink while doing a telephone interview.
Be in a quiet place, away from the sounds of screaming children or barking dogs.
If you are supposed to call the employer at a certain time, make sure you are prompt. If the employer is going to call you, make sure you answer the phone yourself instead of letting the machine or a child answer it.
